Bangor Region Ambassador Program
Team of Bangor Ambassadors puts a Personal Touch on Economic Development
The Bangor Region Ambassador Program will help economic development efforts in the region by providing a group of willing local business and community leaders available to personally engage with business decision makers or targeted recruits considering a move to the Bangor area.
Offering encouragement and a welcoming spirit, these local leaders will give tours of the area, host group discussions or meals, and accompany potential investors or employees to local events in an effort to showcase the many benefits of living and working in the greater Bangor area.
Ambassadors will act as a conduit to inform potential recruits to our region of various Bangor Region events and activities. If asked, the Ambassador will function as an area expert to address industry issues, local, state, and/or New England region trends/issues.
Ambassadors can choose to participate at whatever level they feel comfortable and that best fits into their schedule. Regional businesses looking to recruit a business, decision-maker, or new talent to the region can access support from the Ambassador program with just a simple phone call. This is a free service.
The idea for the Bangor Region Ambassador Program was hatched by a sub-committee of the Mobilize Eastern Maine group and led by Ben Sprague, Bangor City Councilor, Tanya Pereira, Business Development Specialist for the City of Bangor, and Elizabeth Sutherland, Co-Chair of Mobilize Eastern Maine.
